Episode #5 – Capital Combat 1990
Dre and Black Cat discuss the 1990 classic CAPITAL COMBAT: RETURN OF ROBOCOP. Filled with the amazing run-in by RoboCop, tons of great tag team wrestling, this pay-per-view provides some quality banter and entertainment for your hosts. Owen discusses his lack-of-love for Bob Caudle and Lex’s wonderful ability to sell the knee! Throw in some T-PAIN effects at the end and you’ll be going to the pay window tonight, daddy!
So far has been great only half way in and wanted to drop a nerd update:
Eaton left the Express for the York Foundation
Skyscrapers was Mark and Dan Spivey not Johhny Ace
Can you please do Starcade 90 or A show on the Dudes with Attitudes storyline
Thanks for the nerd drop. You are certainly correct on both points. I think we often make historical errors during recording, so I appreciate the correction. And Starrcade 90? I’m not sure I can handle the Pat O’Connor Memorial International Cup Tag Team Tournament. We’ll see. You can look forward to the very special DUDES WITH ATTITUDE special coming your way in 2016.
The final unveil of the Black Scorpion. The single greatest wrestling storyline in history. (and yes I’m aware of the Catus Jack has amnesia storyline). Is it Manny Fernandez? , Ole Anderson?, Barry Windham? I won’t spoil it for the listeners when you eventually do this podcast.
I believe Bobby Eaton was also in the Dangerous Alliance after the Midnight Express along with Arn Anderson, managed by Paul E. Dangerously.
Not that I never have this problem, but Dre’s verbal pauses in this episode are hilarious.
A fun listen guys, as always!
Thanks, HBA! Dre is a funny, funny man.
