I love it that you guys said Doug Dillinger the head of security looked like someone’s dad because Zero and I used to always joke and say he looked just like my stepdad.
Hey Dre, I hear Juke saying he didn’t know what the phrase “kill the town” means and you don’t explain it to him? Juke, to “kill the town” means to put on a wrestling match so bad that audiences from that area stop going to your shows to the point where you have to stop running in that town.
I agree with Dre that a good brawl is better than a high flying match or a weapons/garbage style match.
I actually have never seen this match but have Beach Blast in my possession. Thanks Dre 😉
Beach Blast ’92 was always at my local Blockbuster Video growing up. I always meant to get it because Steamboat and Rude were on the cover and I figured their match would be pretty awesome. This, however, was after I’d stopped watching wrestling for a couple years and was busy watching all the WWF videos from the time I had missed. By the time I was ready to rent Beach Blast, it was gone for whatever reason.
To clarify, I know what “kill the town” means, just wasn’t sure if there was something specific to the reference of Buff or Scott Hall, considering they are both phenomenal performers.
Ah ok Juke, that makes more sense. In that case, yeah, Dre, when did Scott Hall or Buff Bagwell kill a town? These have to be good stories!
I do know that Buff will not fly plains anymore, so if he’s killing towns, it’ll be within driving distance of Atlanta.
However, when asked if he would fly a plane for TNA if they asked him to come in, he replied, “Oh yeah, if TNA called of course.”
Oh Mark (high school friend–joke for those who heard the interview in question)
I love in the beginning when jack is waiting on the ramp and sting comes out and there is the stare down . you know shits about to go down
