#186 – The Last Battle of Atlanta

This week on the Old School Wrestling Podcast, Black Cat and Dre join every other wrestling podcaster in the world to discuss the holy grail of wrestling tapes – The Last Battle of Atlanta. It’s the brutal match between “Wildfire” Tommy Rich and Buzz Sawyer that we’d only heard stories of for over thirty years and seen pictures of in old Apter magazines from back in the day. They’re also joined by part owner of the Old School Wrestling Podcast and CEO of Second Period Industries in the second half to discuss the new Atomic Elbow and get a business update from Robert. Great episode.I remember this being such a big deal at the time.Atlanta wrestling was popular in my home state of Ohio at the time because of TBS.Sawyer and Rich probably wrestled each other 4 to 5 times that week in different towns prior to the last battle of atlanta.80s wrestling was all about blood and violence.
