OSWP WrestleMania 28 Confidence Pool
So, yeah, we sometimes watch modern pro wrestling…er sports entertainment. We’re having what we like to call a confidence pool. The winner receives a free copy of The Atomic Elbow zine with the limited edition UltraMantis buttons! Copy the matches below into an email to blackcat@flairchop.com, then pick who will win each match, and then assign a point level from 1-8 (there are eight matches), using each number only once, and eight being the match you are most confident about. Picks are due Sunday by 4 PM Central/5 PM Eastern. Post a comment below if you are confused about any of this. Oh, and buy the ROH iPPV or the Dragon Gate USA iPPV and help us out. I am going to enter this contest, but I am also going to make it have a prize. I will send a copy of the first issue of The Atomic Elbow to the winner. I will also include a limited edition First Printing button set, because I just found one under my desk. If the winner already has The Atomic Elbow or if he or she doesn’t want it, I will ship Issue No. 3 of “Ninja” magazine from 1984. It has nothing to do with wrestling, but I also found it while I was cleaning and I don’t want it anymore.

So if I believe Jericho’s going over Punk (as an example) (over any other match), then I’ll assign that as an “8”?
If you are MORE CONFIDENT about that match than any other match, you’d pick Jericho as the winner and give it 8 points. Whatever match you are most unsure about your pick, like says, Rhodes and Show, you’d make your pick but only give it 1 point.
so does each match get a seperate rating like every match could be an 8 or are they ranked 1-8. which match your most confident with down to which one your least. Why not just do a pick em and randomly pick a winner. I like the idea as I didnt on pwinsider.com last year and they had bonus questions like you could ask the match order or something like that.
Use each number, 1-8, once. You wouldn’t want to pick randomly. If you’re most confident about Undertaker winning, you’d give him an 8, because you feel there’s NO WAY he could lose and you’d get 8 points for that if you’re correct. If you’re wrong and HHH wins, you don’t get those 8 points.

Two points I lost were Team Teddy, and one point I lost picking Jericho. 8 through 3 I won
My bracket buster, as it was for many, was Kane/Orton who I put 7 points on. I KNEW there’d by one match that would go the logically opposite way that it should’ve gone, but I picked Teddy Long’s team for that one. Curses!
I thought the same thing last night. It’ll be on episode #306.
Honestly have no idea how many points I got because I did not write down my picks and I have forgotten them.

My choices for the winners of the match are the following…..
8. Undertaker. He has more matches to defend his streak against, he will probably face Lesner at 29.
7. Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos. Hard to see the guest wrestler lose.
6. Big Show. Cody was put over as a pompous prick for thelast month, and I think the fans want him laid out in a big way, Paul is due for a Wrestlemania moment in abig way, no pun intended.
5. Kane. Also due for a WM moment. A win here would push his character, and I think Orton is so good, he can afford a loss here.
4. Sheamus. He is already booked as the champ going forward, no surprise here. I also don’t think a loss hurts Bryan’s career. He will bounce back and be champ again
3. The Rock. He is already booked for WM 29, he can’t go into next year with a lot of hype with a loss here. Plus it might help the storyline the WWE is looking for, in turning Cena heel.
2. Team Long. He isn’t nearly as annoying as Laurinaitis. Johnny Boy can still work as the executive VP
1. Jericho. This one is a little tricky. I think Jericho gets over here, and Punk will win it back. Punk had as red hot a year in 2011 as any wrestler has ever had, and I think a loss here would only catapult his status as the underdog going forward.

I have the original art of Dre and I, but haven’t thought about making copies. I’d have to talk to Mr. Stahl. I’ll let you know!

Well, I’d consider it, but I only watch WrestleMania live, and I don’t think it’d be much fun for me to do it for something I’m not watching while it’s happening. If I inherit a trillion dollars or the state doubles my salary, I’ll consider ordering the other big shows and running the confidence pool for them! Glad everyone enjoyed doing it for WM this year. We’ll definitely do it again next year.
