  1. Andrew Lacelle says:

I’d like to hear you guys do my favorite show of all time Great American Bash 92 followed by my second favorite Spring Stampede 94. On the flip side how about two really god awful ones, Starrcade 94 and King of the Ring 95.

    • Dusty's Polka Dots says:

With the de-emphasis (demise?) of tag team wrestling today, Bash 92 would be a fun one to look back one. Plus it has a good chapter in the Sting-Vader rivalry too. Good choice.

    • Sebastian st. Clair says:

yes GAB ’92 please….. WAR GAMES ’87 tooo… Maybe the RR match from ’92 and Summer Slam ’92 the full uncut version ya thought ya never see.

  2. Maddog says:

How about a retrospective on the wrestling career of Steve “Mongo” McMichael? He appeared in the WWE at least twice, his WCW career, and was a ref for TNA at Glory by Honor 2008.

  3. Trak9 says:

Since he just passed away how about a show on the Macho Man Randy Savage?

  4. The Dude says:

Yeah, do Savage’s run in Memphis when he piledrove Ricky Morton through a table!

  5. Rusty Brooks Biggest Fan says:

Hey guys, I have a show idea… why not do the..

    WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING
DAVID VON ERICH MEMORIAL PARADE OF CHAMPIONS
    Live from Texas Stadium 5/6/84

This is the one where Kerry Von Erich defeats Ric Flair for the NWA title, with a… BACKSLIDE!!

Butch Reed vs. Chick Donovan is also a “classic”.

There is ALOT of humor as far as announcers, the refs, the CROWD of Texans, etc.

  6. Kevin J says:

Not so much a match, but a podcast of comparing the Midnight Express tandems of Condrey/Eaton and Lane/Eaton. Could also compare or contrast the Randy Rose/Condrey Midnights. As a fan I liked the Eaton/Lane combo the best. Looking closer the Dennis Condrey/Eaton combo had some great feuds worth examining. Just a thought.

  7. ps says:

A review/recap of the Black Scorpion angle.

  8. Eric Darsie says:

I’ve been on a kick of wanting to own WCW Wrestle War 1991 and 1992 for a long time because of the war games on both cards. I used to rent Wrestle War 92 just because of their war games. If there’s a way, please do one of the two PPV’s!

    P.S. Love you guys!

  9. randiesel says:

Thank you guys for doing this. Please do a Superclash3 episode. thanks and keep up the great work!

  10. death valley 90210 says:

    hey, guys,

i know that this might be a little outside of the scope of the podcast as it does not deal directly with specific matches or shows, but have y’all considered doing a best-of wrestling books episode? there are a lot of them to wade through, and it would be nice to hear somebody else’s thoughts on which books to avoid and which books to pick up.

  11. Frank says:

Love the new episode. Eddie Gilbert got a big push in the WWF in 1982. he was billed as WWF Champion Bob Backlunds Protege, they aired a lot of vingettes of them training and Backlund even wrestled on TV (unheard of in this era) as gilbert’s tag team partner.
unfortunately for eddie he got into a car accident and hurt his kneck pretty bad. they then used it as an angle where Big John Studd attacked Eddie Gilbert and Broke his neck. of Course Backlund Avenged him in a title match and there were some new vignettes of Backlund helping Gilbert get back into the ring, but eventually he just faded away

  12. Grant says:

More WWF PPV reviews would be great. I know you guys are way more into NWA/WCW but im just way more into WWF and you guys are hilarious. I look forward to more WWF/WWE in the future. 🙂

  13. Charles says:

One thing I always hoped you guys would do is the Montreal Screw Job. Ive delved into some backstory and was really looking forward to some of your insight aswell.

    Stay Cool

  14. Dave says:

Great show guys. I drive all day long and your podcast is really fun to listen to. No commericals, just old school wrestling talk. It didnt take long for me to catch up and I am now up to date and really looking forward to the next one. I only wished you did them more often, but I do understand this is not your job and probably don’t have time to do a weekly show. Keep up the good work.

  15. mike says:

I love the show , some stuff makes me roll my eyes… 1) Demolition gets attacked too much. 2) When I was 11 years old in the theater I realized that Bill Eadie of Demolition aka The Masked Superstar was the jobber in No Holds Barred!

  16. Ben says:

I love this show. So much good stuff and as someone who grew up on WWF, it’s cool to hear about some of the great NWA and WCW matches I never saw. Just throwing out a few potential ideas for show topics in the future:

-WWF Tuesday in Texas. I always like the concept of these ‘one shot’ type of shows (i.e. The Wrestling Classic). Great stuff with Savage v. Jake Roberts that night.

-An episode about wrestlers who were part of the LJN Wrestling Superstars figure line that never quite lived up to the potential of being given an 8″ hunk of rubber acknowledging their time in WWF. Maybe just a match each to represent the likes of Outback Jack, Ted Arcidi, Corporal Kirchner, S.D. Jones etc.

-A retrospective on Wrestling Society X. Sure, it may have been a glorified stunt show that only ran for 9 episodes on MTV but that was a fun series. It’s also the only time I could hear Chris Kloss do any commentary and not want to change the station immediately. Him calling XPW matches and shrieking over every big spot was BRTUAL.

-Since the podcast’s favorite tag team of all time is Demolition (clearly!), maybe a look at what the hell was up with the WM 7 match between Demolition v. Tenryu and Kitao. Tenryu and Kitao come in, go over Demolition and then nothing further ever happened with them in the WWF. Why do bad things happen to my favorite old school tag team?

I’ll leave any NWA/WCW ideas up to you guys. You’ve picked out some great shows and matches so far. Anytime I hear a show on one of these, I feel the need to go find the match on Youtube and check it out for myself. Keep up the awesome show, guys!

  17. Eric Darsie says:

I know I put in a lot of requests and theres a lot of shows you men wanna do, but here’s one show that I always wanted to watch but never found anywhere until I searched the loyal YouTube, and that’s the WWE’s THIS TUESDAY IN TEXAS! Here’s the link I found, if anyone’s interested on watching it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxu52DmMsdI

I would love to hear a review from you guys about it (especially with Survivor Series 1991, how they dedicated that PPV to build up This Tuesday in Texas).

  18. Triple H's Nose says:

I really enjoy the podcast guys, im glad i found it. More promos if possible those are cool to hear. Funny impressions as well.(especially Dusty Rhodes & Vince).

Also, I think you guys should try a couple while watching the matches live on the podcast. That way we could play your commentary while rewatching the matches. At least give it a shot once & see what happens. Dunno, just my 2cents thanks. DOWNLOAD THIS PODCAST OHHHH YEAAAAHHHHH!

  19. If you guys are looking for matches that just turned 10 years old to review:

  20. Butt Douglas says:

Hey guys, I’m a Johnny-B-Badd-Come-Lately to this podcast, and love the recent episodes. I see quite a bit in your backlog I’d like to listen to, but they look to be gone forever. Is this true?

  21. Dan says:

Got a fun one for you guys if you ever decided to do it. the Big Boss Man v.s. The Mountie in the Jailhouse Match from Summerslam 1991.

  22. Hey guys, just put my order in for the box set. Can’t wait. Love the podcast. You guys are naturally funny, which makes your analysis interesting. looking forward to possible future shows on WWE Invasion, ECE/WCW Merger from Raw 7/2001, WWE Nitro, Bash 87, Parade of Champions, Guilty as charge 99. I prefer full events over single matches. More memphis.

  23. Stevo says:

    Hey guys

    Love the show.

I discovered it after a long sebatacle away from wrestling and wanting to get up to speed with what is currently going on. But having said that, I’ve ended up listening to you guys about the shows that I have already seen! Classic.

Do either of you remember the match between the Rockers (Jannety/Michaels) vs Twin Towers (Boss Man/Akeem) which I think was Summerslam 88? I could be wrong with the year – But I have always thought that the clothes line on Michaels from Akeem was a mistake and almost decapitated him… Could be one Card to revisit if not already done so.

Have just bought the first 50 eps CD.

    Keep it up

    Steve

  24. Hey guys. I know how you guys feel about Demolition, but would you ever be open to doing a Masked Superstar match? There’s some great Georgia/Japan/WWF/even AWA stuff of his from the early ’80s that I think you guys might be into. I grew up a WWF kid, so I was always fascinated by his subtle storyline involvement Backlund’s eventual loss to the Sheik (Superstar re-breaking Eddie Gilbert’s neck, Backlund getting involved, Superstar injuring Backlund’s neck, setting up the Sheik/Backlund Persian clubs incident, etc).

  25. Brendan says:

You guys should do This Tuesday in Texas, the Bungee Jump match, or the Tower of Doom match at Uncensored ’96. All really weird, but surprisingly forgotten, wrestling events.
