I’m not even trying to be funny here, but I honestly don’t know what’s more baffling: Owen not having cable for 7 years or Dre being an avid WCW watcher for all or most of 2000. Seriously….I’m a nerd and I can’t tell you anything about General Rection or the Jung Dragons or A-Wall. Its like WCW during this time was like your very first college kegger- there are certain names and faces that you can peice together and there are two or three moments that sort of stand out, but at the end of the day you wound up feeling sick and the next morning you found yourself wondering what happened. On a positive note, this podcast has inspired me to call someone “slapnuts” this weekend. Sooooo………there’s that.

When you’re working for the State of Illinois right out of college cable didn’t fit into the budget. Don’t think I can explain Dre watching WCW, though. And comparing late WCW to a hangover is possibly the most accurate description I’ve ever heard.

oh and also on a completely unrelated note, my girlfriend said tito santana looks like fes from “that 70’s show”. I nearly tore my ACL I slapped my knee so hard!

  3. Black Cat says:

And I suggest you and your girlfriend take a road trip to Succasunna, NJ to visit the Santana Family Hair Salon.

  4. David Lo Pan says:

Will do. Right after our trip to Brisco Brothers Body Shop.

Another great full event podcast. Hope to hear more of these in the future!

  6. Bob Colling says:

The Russo comments are comical. But, he wasn’t with WCW in December. He left in October ’00.
